It rained over the weekend. I walked along the alley in Gahoe-dong, where the rain moistened the flower buds and seemed to promote flowering. The neighborhood was quiet and serene, like an early morning scene. So, it was good to walk. The forsythia that sticks out over the red wall is also showing a more yellow appearance in the spring rain, so many flowers seem to convey the feeling of starting a flower festival in their hearts to those who live here for the time being. , to pray for a bountiful harvest in the heart, I stopped by a snack shop and ordered 1 serving of tteokbokki and 2 skewers of fish cakes. It's really good to drink warm fish cake soup on a rainy day. This is Jeongdok Library, just before the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. I occasionally use this periodicals room, but these days, the cafeteria is closed due to the influence of Corona 19. The restaurant is only open for lunch and dinner, so library users with packed lunches can enter and eat individually. On Friday, March 12th, an appointment ceremony was held in the Jongno-gu Office Multipurpose Room. Due to social distancing, the seating interval has never been this wide, but the appointment ceremony was held with ample and careful attention. Several items have been provided to help with the work of the press. Hand sanitizer wipes and a few KF94 masks were included, and what I took out with meaning was a good notebook to record.
When introducing events or places to visit related to Jongno-gu, Seoul, I plan to leave basic information, the weather for that day, and small pictures in my notebook. While walking, I found a construction site screen with ideas that would be useful for sightseeing in Jongno-gu, and I took a picture and shared it. .
There is one book given to the press in 2021. That is <Jongno, Gaon in Hangeul>. The meaning of Gaon is 'center' rather than 'middle', which goes well with the title. It contains various contents related to Jongno centered on Hangeul, and as I turned the page, it also contains information about the statue of Sang-seop Yeom, so I would like to introduce it with the following photo. The statue of Sang-seop Yeom, a representative figure of modern literature, can be seen at the entrance of the Kyobo Bookstore in Gwanghwamun now. . It was not at this site from the beginning after the statue was made, but it was installed in front of a cherry tree in April 2014 after going through Jongmyo Park and Samcheong Park and has been holding the site to this day. Although it is a statue, it also functions as a shelter for people to sit and rest for a while. As of March 29, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, making it the perfect place to take commemorative photos at night.
