I walked about 860 meters along Bukchon-ro to the three-way intersection in front of Jaedong Elementary School in front of the Board of Audit and Inspection. It was convenient to walk downhill while looking at Namsan, so it was the location where I arrived by bus. Walking along Bukchon-ro, the tree planted in a row along the road is called pine trees. The pine tree, which often appeared in literature, also had the symbolism of being a tree that had a considerable influence on our lives. It is sometimes awkward to meet such a familiar pine tree as a roadside tree.
Jongno, a good place to walk in spring: Bukchon-ro
Steps are light for the fun of viewing the remaining cherry blossoms. I entered a narrow alley in the afternoon when cherry blossom petals fell like a carpet. Even when I was standing in the scenery I liked and I set the camera timer to take a photo as a commemorative photo, I did not take off my mask because I was afraid of burdening the residents who suddenly appeared.
A small flower garden at the entrance of a hanok house.
The flowers are happy with my gaze that recognizes my existence, and I am grateful for the flowers that have vivid colors as if they welcomed me. We take pictures of those moments and share them. If you have used Ttareungi a few times, you will remember the location of the hand sanitizer provided at each rental station. Even if you do not use a bicycle, carefully pump an appropriate amount, disinfect your hands, and continue walking.
It has been about 20 years since the pine trees were established around Bukchon Hanok Village in Gahoe-dong, and the natural connection with the low-rise buildings and tile roofs was impressive.
It is said that the Korean word 'Hangawi' is a word that has undergone a process of transformation (a sound changed from the original sound) in 'Hangahoe'. Gahoe in Gahoe-dong had the same meaning as 'a fun and beautiful gathering'.
Looking at the guide sign indicating the walking course of Bukchon Hanok Village, I check my location and the direction of the library, art museum, Bukchon Cultural Center, and Anguk Station on Line 3.
There were two places I was interested in passing by. One was a local dentist who used the inside of a hanok as a medical office, and the other was a signboard by combining the motifs of pens, brushes, double clips, and crayon staplers with Korean consonants and vowels. It was a stationery store full of ideas. I would go straight to Anguk Station, but I saw cherry blossoms in full bloom on the road leading to the Hanji Cultural Industry Center (Jongno-gu Jae-dong), so I walked around it. A small wooden chair to announce the preparation for the exhibition. And the name of the gallery remains simple on the glass surface. However, an unexpected exhibition was going on through the glass surface, so I will convey it through photos.
It's not perfectly symmetrical, but it's in full bloom through the cherry blossoms projected on the glass surface, so I decided to title it <Spring Day Decalcomanie>. Bukchon-ro, Jongno-gu, welcoming the change into spring. Start at Anguk Station Exit 2
